I decided to once again try installing Windows Vista Build 5270 CTP (this time using DAEMON TOOLS), but it still did not work (it still did not fix my Windows Vista Build 5270 CTP Installation Problems). Back to the Drawing Board Again.

What exactly is your problem?
I've installed this Build on two machine with no problems. Other than some intermittent program hangs, it seems to work fairly well.
One of these machines is a HP Pentium 800 Mhz with 512MB of memory. It even runs well on it.

You can read about all of my previous Windows Vista Build 5270 Installation Failure's, Rant's, and Tirade's, at the following Website: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/newsgroups/default.mspx (click the bottom option on the left hand side).

But I do love Daemon Tools - very cool. It's saved my arse on many-occasion because I only recently got myself a DVD-writer, so other than that, Daemon Tools has worked excellently for me. An honest recommendation to anyone!

I notice that Vista runs nicely on such specs, but install additional apps and it suddenly turns into molasses. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "RonK" wrote in message

The only reason that I was trying it (DEAMON TOOLS) out (with the Windows Vista Build 5270 CTP .ISO) is the following: I think I have a problem with either my DVD-ROM Drive (D:), or my DVD Burner (E:), or both Drives.

Kevin--
You didn't specify the problem with your DVD, but after a hardware ck list including cables, I'd check the reg for values per the top KB:
